New Year: First 10 countries that are in 2022 already

As 2021 wraps up, many are counting on 2022 to be a great year filled with opportunities and blessings.

Quest Times take a look at list of the first 10 countries that celebrate 2022 earlier than other countries;

Samao and Kiribati

Samoa and Kiribati entered 2022 five hours ago.

Chatham Islands

The Chatham Islands observe Chatham Island Standard Time (CHAST) which is 12 hours and 45 minutes ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) during standard time, making them the second country to enter 2022.

New Zealand

In the country’s mainland, New Zealand Standard Time (NZST) is used as standard time, while New Zealand Daylight Time (NZDT) is observed during DST. They are currently in 2022.

Tonga

Tonga becomes the 4th country to enter 2022.

Fiji

They are the 5th country to crossover to 2022.
